Banana BBQ Sauce

I use this enough that I really should have separated this out from the start.  This is one of my takes on BBQ sauce.  I use banana sauce, because it’s both sweet and has a sour tang, and the fructose means no refined sugar.  Not that there’s any real difference, but I guessing there’s less sugar overall since I’m not adding any.

There isn’t much to say here, other than to say after the banana sauce, add everything in turn and mix in between each so everything gets as incorporated as possible.

So:

  • 1/2 cup banana sauce (I recommend Jufran)
  • one teaspoon onion powder
  • four cloves garlic
  • a pinch of salt
  • teaspoon of pepper
  • two tablespoons of water
  • two teaspoons of Worchestershire sauce
  • a quarter-teaspoon of paprika.

And that’s it really.  Make sure everything is mixed together well, and set aside to rest for at least 30-60 minutes before you use it.
